Jen is founder and owner of Saint Louis based private practice, McDaniel Nutrition Therapy, a nutrition consulting company that specialises in weight management, sports nutrition, and corporate wellness. 

She consults for Carmichael Training Systems (CTS), which is where her and Chris were connected.  Jen works with Chris to plan his meals and training fuel ahead of time to ensure his body is sufficiently fueled before, during and after all training and competitive sessions.

Ready access to food and fluids are critical in Chris’s sailing with his training and racing on the water, especially when regattas can last up to 6 days, so Chris and Jen have worked har to develop strategies to ensure he is always on top of his nutrition.

Jennifer McDaniel, MS, RD, CSSD, LD is a registered dietitian (RD) and certified specialist in sports dietetics (CSSD) with more than 10 years of experience.  She is a national media spokesperson for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and is a regular on-air contributor for St. Louis, MO based KTVI Fox 2 News and the Big 550 AM KTRS.

Kristen Dieffenbach

Based out of the University of West Virginia, Kristen is Chris's mental coach.  She brings a great deal expertise to all areas of Chris' campaign.  Together they work to ensure Chris is mentally prepared.

Through her company, Mountains Marathons & More, Kristen provides elite level coaching services to Olympic level athletes, focussing primarily on USA cycling, US Track and Field and other Endurance Sports.

Stuart Russell

Stuart is a well-established and successful chef, with a passion for nutrtion and great food.  He is also Chris' brother, which comes in handy!

Stuart has been able to sucessfully work with the nutrition strategies developed by Jen, and apply them directly to Chris' day to day eating habits, factoring in his likes and dislikes, gut-tolerances and general availability of time and food. 

Together they've been able to create receipes and meal plans which help Chris achieve his nutrtion goals and perform better.
