8th place for Chris in Roses
Chris' first competitive racing since April this year, should, in most cases, be viewed as a success. A good gauge on progress in the grand scheme. He sailed consistently well across day 1 and 2 of the Spanish leg of the European Cup. However by Chris' high standards, he was staunchly realistic about a missed opportunity. He held 4th place going into the final day of racing in Roses, ESP; and a couple of self-admitted tactical mistakes cost him dearly, pushing him down to 8th overall. We spoke with Chris post racing and he was to the point: "It's very simple; I made 2 mistakes at the wrong time across today's racing and I paid the price. I know exactly what I did wrong. I learn from it a move on". Chris' focus remains on the build towards the end of the race season, with higher profile events in December.
